Nikon 14-24 wideangle fixed lens hood damage

Dropped my 14-24 (don't ask) and somehow the fixed lens hood is now skewed i.e. it's twisted and in the wrong place. Anyone else had this problem and, if so, can it be fixed without sending to a repairman? I've tried brute force and it isn't budging.

Sorry, never heard of that. We probably have more 14-24s than anyone else, and we've probably seen more ways of damaging a 14-24 than anyone else, but we've never seen that!
