Nikkor AF 35-105mm F/3.5 -4.5 compatability

Can someone please confirm wether this lens will function correctly ( AF etc) on a D60 body

Doesn't look like it, I'm afraid. It'll work fine as a manual focus lens with camera controlled aperture but it looks as though it's got body driven AF. To make sure, look at the mount end and turn the MF ring (at the front of the lens) with it switched to MF and see if you can see a screw head spinning at about 5 o'clock with the red mark at 12.

Thanks Nod, a bit dissapointing as yes there is the screw head that spins.
As a film shooter ( predominantley), I'm somewhat behind the times with the more modern digital bodies.
Presumably the D60 is one of the newer bodies which requires lenses that have AF motors built into them?

Actually, it's one of the older bodies that needs the AF-S lenses! It and the D40 were the first 2 that lack the in body AF motor. If you can live with 6MP rather than the 10 that the D60 offers (IIRC), a D70 or D50 both have the in body motor. The next step up is the D200 but if high ISO is a want/need, I'd go newer. Depending on budget, I'd probably go for a D700 for FF goodness!
