Can anyone help me with getting my Nik software to work with either CS5 or Lightroom on my iMac please?
I previously had Elements 9 when I downloaded the Nik software, when I opened Elements the Nik software opened within it.
I've recently got Cs5 and Lightroom but don't know what to do now to get the Nik working with it.
 
I think you will have to reinstall the Nik software, whilst installing it will identify your compatible programs and install the appropriate plugins.
 
It may well work if you can find the nik plug-in in elements and copy it across to the same fiolder in CS5, (I haven't got it here to check as I'm not in the office) Lightroom is a different case though, you'd need to reinstall I think for that.
 
Thanks for your replies, I'll try and do that, I'm not too great with computer stuff, so I may be back to ask more questions :help:
 
With Lightroom go to Edit>Preferences>External Editing tab and for the first external editing one I have set CS5 and then for the additional external editing I have set Nik EFEX......you can also set additional ones as well so when you go to Photo>Edit in you then should see CS5; Nik and any others you have added.

and one of them shows you how to create the above.
My NIK EFEX Pro is in this folder C:>Program Files>Adobe>Adobe PS>Plugins>NIK Software>Silver EFEX Pro so I presume you could copy it over like Wayne mentioned

Have Nik cured the round-trip duplication of keywords problem yet? (send a photo to SFX and it comes back to LR with the entire keyword hierarchy duplicated).

I liked Silver Efex 2 a lot when I used the trial a while back, but the price and that bug put me off.
 
I have no idea I'm afraid, I haven't had Nik software very long so haven't learnt how to use it properly yet.
