I have the old free version, still working with latest photoshop and lightroom and I do like it, but the new version NIK 4 is half price today at £67.50 as it's Black Friday.

Anyone upgraded to the new paid version FROM the free one and believed it was genuinely worth it?

I upgraded to Nik Collection 2 a few years ago and was disappointed that DxO had actually not done anything to the software other that make it work with newer Operating Systems.

I ignored their upgrade 3 and 4 because again they had done very little. Two out of all the apps were given a new UI, they added a few presets and they added Perspective something or other which I would never use anyway.

I have actually just now taken advantage of the half price upgrade at £30 because they have actually pulled their finger out and made the NIK Collection M1 Native and made the plugins work with the latest version of PS on the Mac. If it wasn't for the discount I would not have bothered as I don't believe what they are offering is worth the constant upgrade costs.

If the free version works for you, you're not really getting much more by upgrading.
