Night photography

Nice pic :)

I'll not say which one it is though :D
Very atmospheric.

Thanks Kendo, RJ & Gile, yeah, 1x is an unusual site in that their 'published' photos are curated. i.e., their publishing choice is not based on favs, popularity, likes or member voting. The advantage is only 3-5% pictures submitted ever get published, the drawback is only 3-5% ever get published... So cue a lot of bruised egos.

Some nice images there ... but as for which one is yours

Why the secrecy?

Agree with others.. some good stuff on that link. Some a bit over cooked in the processing department, but all enjoyable.

No secrecy really, anyone that interested can find it via my profile info. But in hindsight perhaps you're right, I should have pointed out which one is mine. Apologies. It's the one taken on the Thames embankment.

The one that's up twice :)

Yeah... that works for me!

From what I can see via my phone it looks great, I'll take a proper look once I'm home.

Danjama, that's fantastic to hear you're inspired! I couldn't be more pleased. It was taken around 2am on a rather cold and dank, still morning. Hardly a soul around. The river was sluggish with a fine mist settling above the water, the air heavy with moisture. Everything glistened with wetness. Just perfect weather! My favourite shot of that morning was perhaps of St Pauls, (below) taken a little while later.

That is another lovely shot. The man with the umbrella, is it you or a genuine passer by?

Really like this Peter, very atmospheric with the slight mist and I'm sure looks excellent printed BIG

Thanks Paul, I think the mist was just what was needed for some extra interest. As photographers we don't have the luxury of painters and are competley at the mercy of the weather, so we do have to have lady luck on our side. Fortunately she was with me that night.
