Nifty Fifty

fleabay. even if its slow or anything like that still worth 25 notes.

i dont know, its the canon f1.8 50mm. if its not it will force me to use manual which is a good thing really.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a 'nifty fifty' i see it mentioned on here all the time and am rather confused

Nifty Fifty is basically a nickname given to the nikon and canon 50mm f1.8 lenses. They are called nifty because they basically offer exceptionally good image quality for about £50-60 notes.

Great price that you got a real bargain.

I have been looking for a second hand one for a while, they don't come too often as people usually keep them and if they do you'll be lucky to get it for under £40. So that is a great deal you got there if it is the 50mm f1.8 II.

I settled with a new one, bought it today for £59. Been snapping indoors which produce decent photos but I'm looking forward to taking some with natural lighting because I know it can take much shaper images.

same here mate, the one off ebay came today and it was a FD mount, never mind.....

So went to jessops and got a price match for £55. Also while i was in there i got myself a new manfrotto 190proB and Mangnesium head. So went to Dunham park tonight and took a few low down shots. I'm more than impressed with the tripod.

Going to retake the picture of my girlfriend on the bed with the 50 after the local motorcross meeting tonight. I will repost the picture in the morning.
