I have a canon 50mm 1.8 "nifty fifty" lens and I have just noticed the face that is next to the thread bit (hard to explain this I know)...so, look down on the lens at the back and you will see a flat face outside of the plastic thread bit ...thats the little lip that will marry up to the camera body when the lens is fitted to the camera. My god this is difficult :shrug:
Anyway that lip is not smooth as you would expect , it is pitted ...almost flakey....is this normal or do i have a duff lens?? I will try to take a pic if I get a minute...does anyone know what I am on about????
