Shooting with a 7D and a 80-200mm piece of guttering (f2.8)

What would be the realistic suggestions for the next lens? (Father Xmas permitting??

Shooting mainly soccer at non league level - with poor floodlighting
 
Depends on budget. I have the 7D and I'm using the Canon 70-200mm 2.8 (non IS). I find the two work well together and I don't think I would gain much with having the IS version of the lens.
I hope to add a 1.4 TC in the near future to increase the reach, when the light is good.
I have not tried my combo under floodlights yet, but I'm sure it will cope.

Quite dependant on the quality of the floodlights!
 
Being realistic what is your budget?
 
probably up to £500 - only way to get any more would be to sell my second camera (mk2) and Id be reluctant to do that
