Hi all, new to the forum and new to camera's to be honest, not sure if this is the place for me and my ixus 980 ? as from browsing it seems a little more advanced
I've got a lot of questions about certain settings which I think maybe general with some other cameras? hopefully

Anyway, my names Matt and live in essex, love camera's and taking pics

hopefully i'll get some help here or pointed in the right direction

I guess firstly I should ask is it OK to ask about my camera here? my previous cameras are ixus 400's and 500's, the reason I got this one is because I could be a bit more brave and go manual :D I love looking at the pictures i've taken, but i'm now thinking if I knew a little more i'd be able to fix certain pics that do not seem to work? and find out what the problem was?

I don't really know too much about taking pics at the moment but would like to know more about photography which is fastly becoming a hobby of mine, but my buying is limited to a camera which will do the work for me

Anyway, many thanks for the welcome
