Hi everyone, just purchased my first DLSR!
It's a Canon 450d with the nifty fifty! Not sure what type of photography to get in to yet, but I really like the candid scene.

Welcome to the forum Mike, it's an invaluable source of information irrespective of your experience or ability.

You've got yourself a great starter combo so I'm looking forwards to your first few images.

Don't be put off if you find things more difficult than you had anticipated, the best way to learn is to practise and accept constructive criticism positively!

The most important bit of advice I can give you is to enjoy your new hobby and to watch how much you spend carefully, it can be a very expensive pastime lol!!
