hi all just a quick intro, i've always been interested in photography having a huge passion for cars i attend a lot of shows as well as having a few of my motors on display, i had a compact cam that i have been using for over a year now simple snap and shoot kodak one.
i came across a nikon D3000 with the 18-55mm lens for £299 checked the reviews seems half decent and for a beginner thought it would be a good place to start. so any hints and tips or advice would be grateful.

heres a few snaps i tried out last night. need to get to grips with it more yet.

thanks, what i want to know, is what lenses will fit my camera i wanna get a wide angle\fish eye lens.

Welcome to TP.

Firstly I would get to know your camera and lens. You should be able to get some decent wide shots with your 18-55.

I'm thinking of a wider lens myself, particularly the Tamron 10-24, but still undecided and after 6 months of using my kit 18-55 lens.

Try some different angle shots, get down low, get up close, Take a look at the transport section for inspiration.

Best of all take many many pictures to develop your skills and get to know your camera....it's a good bit of kit to start off with.

JOD.

great car, continue trying to take more photos, and chose diferent locations, with less distracting things in the background.
