Hi everyone, Im Steph! Im fulltime stay at home mum, Ive got a 15 month old little boy and due my second in September, married, 20. Ive got a passion for photography I absoloutly love it! I have an eye for good shots IMO, and I love editing too(although HATE over edited images!) Ive yet to buy my first DSLR, funds means it could be a while until I can afford one unfortunaly. Ive got my eye on the Canon 1100D as when I did my photography course, this is what I was familiar with.

Ive only got a crappy little digital camera :( But it will have to do for now!

If anyone has any recommendations on cameras & places to buy them, or any tips on photography greatly appreciated. I hope you dont mind me nebbing about until I get my DSLR, may post one or two edits from my crappy cam(if you dont mind that is?

Visit Jessops or similar, and handle the cameras you are thinking of buying. Whatever feels right is the one for you.

Hi Steph, don't be shy about posting your pics or asking questions - welcome to the forums

Thanks all :) Well I was planning on popping into Jessops when Im next in town, Itll either be a Canon or Nikon(have experience with this also) but Im swaying more towards the Canon.

Steph, the camera is unimportant. The eye behind it is the important thing!!!

Enjoy yourself on here

Thank you :) Ive been browsing for a while I love it!

Ive uploaded some into portraits please if you get time have a look, I really do love photography every aspect of it interests & excites me, Id hate to have no talent! x

Hi Steph and welcome:wave:

Nebbing not allowed - only by miseries like me. Enjoy your photography, there is always time for a new camera later.

Welcome to the forum o/

Did you look at the micro 4/3 systems? They can do almost as much as the DSLRS but they are much smaller - I'm remembering back to new baby + toddler = "I can't remember a time I wasn't pushing or carrying something heavy outside of the house"

I really really don't recommend the canon 1100D when the 450D-500Ds exist in the same price bracket.

welcome steph!!

Well your more advanced that me at this photography lark, but we've gotta start somewhere!

Also, keep in mind the deals on ebay once you know the camera you want to go for. If its too good to be true it is but most people on there are folks who have upgraded their cameras and happy to talk you through what they are offering.

Welcome and hello !
