Hi all,

I'm new on here and was considering joining a camera club in my local area.

Just wondering, are they worthwhile? I'm really wanting to improve my photography skills and meet other enthusiasts.

Any advice or info on this would be really appreciated.

Hi Hannah, and a huge welcome to the forum.
I've always joined Camera Clubs wherever I've been and found that they gave me useful pointers, guidance and general advice. It's a great chance to meet people, which is one of your statements. As you share a common interest, you may find people who can help in specific ways.
Don't forget this fabulous forum too, use the threads to ask questions and partake, I've found a huge amount of info here, and the people are great too.

We're a friendly bunch so please make yourself at home.
I've never actually joined a camera club, but if you're interested in meeting up with other photographers check out the Meeting Place section here too.
There are always loads of organised TP meets going on and everyone's welcome. Hopefully there'll be something in your area.
