Hello I'm new here, a friend referred me this way. I live in the west of the USA. Not a lot of color here. :shrug: But have found using the macro setting I can satisfy myself to an extent here.
I have always been fascinated with photography since childhood. My experience has been limited. I bought a professional camera and a complete set up to do wedding photography, but found I didn't like the stress of wedding days, and the equipment was SO heavy, and I didn't know what I was doing with the studio lights, etc. I shot on 2 Fstops only, and only used 3 lens, so I never utilized the equipment. I just peice sold it all off on Ebay.
I now have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5, recommended by a friend. I would love to learn to utilize more of this camera before attempting in moving on to another. I have just started using some of the settings and have had some fun with them. But I would like to learn more about this camera so I can justify moving up to one with interchangeable lens, etc.
My passion are Macro shots. I love the imagination and detail that it can give a photo. We have an annual Garden and Pond Tour here and I really enjoy taking photos of the flowers. When I figure this all out, I will post some of them. I took them with a different camera though, although very similar, a Fugi.
I like that a group of you got together today. I wonder if we have anything like that around here. Looks like you guys had a great time.
