Newbie 40D Owner, Wanted Bits Too :)

Hi everyone,

my name is Suraj, am (was) a student, have just graduated from university.

I just got a second hand Canon 40D off a friend for stupidly cheap (I was originally looking for a 400/450D then got offered this for the same price, it was a no-brainer)
it comes with a EF-S 17-85mm F/4-5.6 lens, 4 batteries, 1x1gb CF card (kingston) and charger (box + manual etc).

I am totally new to photography, I have owned a digi-cam when they came out, but that was about it, hardly used it, so went to my mother.
I have been using photoshop for many years, and am quite handy with that, so have made some crap pics when I had my digi-cam look amazing (they were not though lol)

here is a few pics I have taken since getting my camera last weekend, C&C welcome to help me

the first 2 have only been lightened (a tad too dark when taking them) and number plate removed
the other 2 have been PS'd

I am into my "dubs/euro" cars, so hence the pics of my car

I am currently on the lookout for the following:
*28-105mm Canon EF/Sigma Lens
*4/8gb CF Card
*Bag (something small like this link)
*Lens cover for my 67mm 17-85mm (my niece stood on it by accident and broke it bless her)

hope I can one day be as good as some of the members on this forum

Hi 40D love that camera so versatile, you will be able to source most of the things off here, but your post count may have to hit a certain level to buy sell, (i think) other than that try e-bay for the 67mm cap, you look ok with PS as well, nice car.

Hi, thanks mate, i love it, so glad I got it over the 400d
yeah I need to a UV filter, so will pop into my local jessops

yeah I thought you will need a number of posts/days active to be able to do a wanted thread
