I'm planning on going tomorrow. Well I was, now I'm a bit unsure.

Has anyone been to it before? I'm not an Antique dealer, nor do I have a clue about antiques either really. We are just going along for a browse to see if we can find a nice couple of more individual things for our house. Like a nice Mirror for example.

Someone has mentioned that it's basically a dealers things though.

So I just wondered whether anyone had been and could share their experience?

havnt been to the antique one but the auto jumble's are awesome

one guy had a airplane engine on back of his ford transit and there was loads of crap or so we though was amazed on how much stuff was there

Not really just a dealers thing - certainly not any more.
There will be a lot of tat at Newark, it's one of the main stream events used often to shift more 'stale' stock.... Or thats certainly how my parents used to treat it - Antique dealers for well over 30 years.

very busy and take the word "antique" with a huge pinch of Salt.

I believe it's now an Antiques and Collectors Fair - with the assumption that a person could collect literally anything........ hence the tat!

its usualy VERY busy.
get there early cos the traffic is HORRENDOUS.

This. Totally

By early you want to be looking at before opening time really

I sed to live about 3 miles from the showground and regardless of what they do it is hell to get into the place (and for locals to get around while the fair is on!)

Well we went, and we enjoyed our day out. :)
We didn't buy much other than a small item for £5. It was nice to know what you can get there, and I'd go back if we are after something like that. :)
