Hey All
Little bit of a 'low/downer' for me this year on New Years Eve folks. My wife is off to the USA on 27th Dec through to 11th Jan, for a surprise visit to her sister who lives in Seattle. Her sisters hubby has planned an 'all three sisters together' Christmas surprise for his wife (my wife's sister) and is paying for my wife and their other sister here in the UK to fly across to the USA for the trip. Now, even though we discussed her going before she made up her mind, and of course I support her going over there, I will miss her and am still rather sad that she won't be here with us over this period - more really though for my daughter than myself... but meh... I am not going to sulk about it, and I want to have my daughter enjoy herself, so I am determined to have an excellent time with my lad and gal.
So... rather than stay at home, it might be that we're looking for somewhere to go on New Years Eve to celebrate the arrival of 2009 - and that's where you come in. OK, I am aware of the festivities taking place in London, but heck, I currently work there and am not really interested in another trip up, so can anyone suggest alternative places/events that could be worth considering a trip for.
What do you rekon... a nice evening in together, or a trip out somewhere...?
