Hi All,

I have just updated my website as i have moved from urban street photography more into studio and portrait work. Well it's a complete revamp new logo as well. (nothing has remained from the old one). best viewed in Firefox.

The site still has some work to do on it but i would appreciate some feeback whilst i'm still working on it.

I'm also creating a space for customer testimonials and links to twitter, facebook etc.

Look forward to your constructive feedback, feel free to critique the photography as well if you feel the need :)

Thanks
Nad

Seems to be a well made website. Took a bit to see on the gallery (the scrolly pictures) but good.

Your studio pics look good too... although you may want to revisit the trio pic of the lady - they look a little soft.

The old car is really well done.

Is this section really the right place for this?

I like the website, a few things to say though.

On the homepage, all the secondary text is cut in half. So where it says "Photography by Nad Yaqub", this is cut in half. Either don't have it showing unless the mouse is over that section, or have it all showing.

The gallery is good, (I like your photo's a lot as well), but not everyone is going to have fast internet. You might want to have a low-res version as well, as some people might have problems with the gallery. It took a while to load some of the pictures on my computer.

I can't decide whether I like the "Contact ME and have YOUR moment CAPTURED", I think it's ok, but it might be off putting for some.

Also, I tend to much prefer a dedicated contact page. I like the popup window, but some people have various popup blockers etc, I like it, but there will be some cases where it won't work. If I was going to contact a company, I would personally be much happier if there were actual details on the website, rather than an automatic email system. I like it, but maybe add full contact details somewhere as well?

I like the rest of the website, only thing to add, is I often like links at the bottom of the page, completely out of the way, but it's where you normally find a mini site nav type thing - Contact/About etc. Would also be a good place to include a link to a low-res version.

Thanks, Still working on the gallery and some auto play and controls. The trio picture i agree i think i when i messed with the images second time after the first draft of the website i lost the quality, will re-visit them all.

Thanks Again
Nad

Thanks for your comments Will, is this section right if not them i'm sure those that see the title post and think it's not will ignore it! I've not posted much on here, but you live and learn :)

I think all your points are very valid and i think i have compromised a little, but happy with a little comprimise to get what i want.

I have thought about adding an addition sidebar with contact phone number and email address but it's always open to spamming. The large format text ran through my last website and i have not modifed it, maybe i'll use that space to put my phone number and email address.

I will add a footer too then also work on a dedicated mobile site that can be downloaded for iphone and android.

Four of your eight squares with text bands across the bottom have an issue in Safari. The lower of the two lines of text is partially sitting below the bottom of the square.

If I haven't explained that very well then.... install Safari.

The issue 2blue4u described is one of the things I mentioned, but I might not have explained it too well.

Overall it looks like a great website, just needs a few tweaks, and a low-res/mobile site so that everyone can access it.
