New Website - First Draft

Its a little bland to be honest. Although sometimes simplicity is a good thing (take google for example). But there is a difference between simplicity and blandness.

The technical side of things - the menu can be done with text, instead of image. The code is 'out of date', and too much of it. You can produce that site using alot less code and more simple code too. Although i'm guessing you used a template for it?

On full screen, theres a big gap on the right, as the site is set on the left.

Theres alot of empty space, even though there is quite a bit of text.

However, from a usability side of things, its easy to navigate and read, but its a little boring to look at.

I echo what surrealillusions has said above. The content is very moving and easy to navigate and contains a wonderful biography with all the information on distinct pages, but it could do with a little "something" else.

Maybe a splash of colour with a background would help and possibly centering the site so that users browsing with high resolutions or widescreen displays don't just end up burning all the pixels on the left hand side!

Overall it's a good and easy to use site but it's just needs a little bit more to present the information with a little more oompf! Best of luck with it too :thumbs:
 
I agree with the others, lots of info there, possibly a bit too much for the front page though. Also check your spelling and use of capitalisation, centre the pages if you can and use a more comfortable background colour. I'd suggest cream or perchment.
