This is a quick, basic tutorial for people who are selling on this type of sales platform. Photography is just one of many elements that need to be right in order to achieve high sales.

I’m assuming here that you (or your client) is selling new products with good stock levels, which justifies the cost of decent photos – second-hand goods are a different matter entirely.

Hopefully this will help some people, especially beginners.
It's all pretty low-level stuff, in terms of both the photography and lighting, well below the standard of what I would call real product photography - but I've found it to be right for these sales platforms, where there has to be a balance between quality and cost, and where unscrupulous competitors on eBay (and Amazon itself) will help themselves to your photos anyway,
