Hi everyone, :wave:

Im Scott, new to the forum, from Fife (Scotland). I'm not entirely new to photography...I started about 18 months or so ago when a friend left me their Nikon D60, I was thrown well in at the deep end with the DSLR as I had never even held one before :eek:.

So i got into it snapping away and learning as I went. A LOT of trial and error :gag: I've enjoyed it all and thinking about getting serious about it...not on a proffesional level, well, not yet anyway...and sought out this forum as a base to start of my learning...

I just upgraded from the Nikon D60 to a Canon EOS 550D and so the learning can commence.

I look forward to getting a lot of help/advice & feedback from you lot :thumbs:

Hi and welcome to TP :wave: Fife is one of my favourite places in the world (I went to St Andrews before Will made it famous ;) ). Beautiful area for photography too.

I'm looking to get some new kit in my bag now....

At present I only have the 18-55 kit lens, I'm looking to extend out towards the x00 ranges but can't decide on wether to go 55-250, 75-300 or go 18-200 and get shot of the kit lens?

I'm also looking at a speedlight and then early next year a shorter mm wide angle lens...

Anyone got any comments to help?
