Hello again friends, I am wondering whether to purchase Photoshop elements to process my Pics.

I have started using Canon Utilities/Zoom Browser & Canon DPP that came with the camera, question do I continue with these and gain experience, or move into PS elements.

I have heard that PS Elements Ver 7 is more novice friendly than Ver 8, is this correct and the version to consider.

I would mainly use it to enhance basic functions and crop, I will not be submitting to a camera club or marks out of 10.

I normally print an Album of trips in hard copy keeping the original on the PC.

Since I started the 'acquaint course' I am saving in RAW & JPEG.

Hope this post is not too rambling!

You seemed to have already answered your own question, Elements will cover your raw and editing needs as well as supplying Digital Asset Managment as well for a very small price, plus you can still prefer Canons DPP for Raw conversion if you prefere.:)

I am a total novice aswell, just bought Elements 8 (2weeks ago) along with "The missing Manual" + there are loads of tutorials on youtube.
A lot to learn but you pick it up very quickly.

Personally, I dont see the point in buying an older version.

Good luck.
