hello
I am fairly new to photoshop and have CS4,I would like to take a folder of raw files from a Sony a300 and put them through the auto tone ,contrast and colour adjustments and then output to a new folder as Jpegs for saving.
Is this simple to automate or is it beyond a beginner as it would save me a lot of time when there is 100 photo to do

you need to use the function 'action' you basically set the function to record then open your file, run the functions you want, save as the type you want, then stop the recording, you can then do a 'batch' run on an entire folder and even save them to a seperate folder automatically.
 
whoa that sounds very complicated,care to break it down into small easy to do steps for a numpty like me
