Hello all hope you guys can help a newbie out,

I have recently bought a nx200 as I am off traveling around Asia for a year, I have one lens with camera already it is a 20-50mm lens.

I will be taking pictures of landscapes, nature and people,

Would some body please be kind to tell me the best lens to use for these tasks.

I have been looking on eBay at 3 lens but not sure if they are any good for what I want.

They are...

16mm f2.4 ultra wide pancake

20mm f/2.8

30mm f2.0

What would be the best one of these to get witch would do a good all round job

Many thanks

I can't comment on the quality of the sony lenses but generally if you are going to take two lenses you want them to cover different focal lengths.

So if you are happy and with the 10-50 I would go for something like an 85 or similar which will be good for portraits.

But for wildlife you will most likely want longer than that and there is the 50-200 this would also be good for getting candids of people

The best way it to have a play with them before you buy them, if you have a friend you can borrow off or at the very least go into a shop and try them there.

I dont have a Sony Adrian?? I have a Samsung nx200 :s and I don't have a 10-50mm lens I have a 20-50mm lens :s

An NX user, we don't have many of your type around here.

I'd buy the 16mm to compliment the lack of width the 20-50mm gives. The 20mm prime is just as sharp as the 20-50mm, the 30mm is optically the best Samsung prime (other than the more expensive 85mm 1.4). If you think you need a wider lens than the kit lens - get the 16mm. If you're wanting to do more people shots and low light shots - 30mm f2.

I'm guessing you've seen the Camtronics/Surpluss eBay page for Samsung lenses? They're about 50% cheaper than online stores. If you don't trust eBay, Amazon also sell them under the seller "Camtronics".
