New to photography first opinions

Hi haven recently seen the work of a friend of mine I decided that I fancied giving photography ago. Having done some research I finally settled on the canon eos 600d .

Here are a few of the images I have taken, all of which are in manual mode on the camera. Obviously been new to this I don't no what's right, wrong,good or bad so I was just after some HONEST options of a few of my pictures.

Personally I am really pleased with them as I thought it would take me months to get used to using the camera in manual mode but I seem to have picked up the various basic functions of the camera.

This was the original picture of Louis, I edited the background picture into it from one i took of some frosty weather a few weeks back

Great photos! I especially like the one of the babies hand, the focus is absolutely perfect
