This may seem a strange request ...

I'm seeking suggestions as to where I can download high quality photographs, free to manipulate and edit (not for commercial gain), to learn how to use and gain experience in my post processing and editing software.

Let me explain :-

I have been out of the hobby for many years, but plan to return (as an enthusiastic amateur) next year when I retire and have plenty of time to pursue the hobby.
As I have no experience of this new fangled <grin> digital medium; I thought that I would get a "head start" on my learning curve ...

As of yet, I have no camera, but have purchased some editing software ... Namely the Macphun Creative Kit 2016 (They were doing a fantastic deal for existing customers, as I already had Noiseless to improve scans of physical photographs that I took in the 70s ).

So ... I have the software, but no photographs to edit ...

Therefore, I'm looking for some images that I can "play with" to get to know the software and gain experience in it.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Most camera manufacturers will release high resolution sample files when they announce new models, sites like dpreview may also provide samples when reviewing new models (and may carry links to the manufacturers samples when reporting manufacturer announcements).
