Hi!
I've just got my first non-point and shoot camera and would like to buy a book on basic photography (explaining apertures, focal lengths, White balance, etc etc). Any advice?
Many thanks

Welcome :) :plusone: to the above book, reading it atm on my kindle and it really is the bomb.

-1 for Understanding Exposure; tried it after it was suggested, but found that it explained really very little and all in a very pompous style. Nice pictures though... Still new myself and currently reading Digital Exposure Handbook by Ross Hoddinott; seems quite good so far.

Welcome. :)
