Hi,

Recently sold all my photography stuff as i thought i could do without it and am missing it like crazy.

I am going to buy some new stuff either after xmas.

Which would you go for?

Nikon D80 + 18-55mm VR
Sony A300 + 18-70mm
Samsung GX10 + 18-55mm

All roughly the same money .

Which would give the best image quality?

which feels best in your hand?

why not a canon or olympus?

personally i would go body only and buy a sigma 24-70 or a tamron 17-55 to go with it, might cost a little extra, but be worth it i think
 
All three cameras will give you excellent results, best thing is to try each camera and see which one feels right to you...
 
as a general hobby use, and walk about use or friends/family potraits, i wanted a flexible range zoom lens (having has a 18-55 and 55-200 lens kit on nikon before and found it bit of a hassle to keep swapping), so wanted something close to 18-200 all in one.

the sony 18 -200 fit the bill, due to budget at when i first looked sub £200 but now cheaper.

that's one thing which swung it for me, plus the tiltable live view lcd is a good plus.

but if it was't for that the d80 i can only imagine being really good for money, as my nikon d40 was brill to be fair
 
any reason canon is not on that list, not saying that they are not good cameras, maybe a viable option as well.
