This is a new flash from Godox, which looks to be a solid choice for off-camera use, (if it turns out to be any good in actual use).

  • Guide number (ISO 100, m): 46 (105mm len)
  • Zoom range: 24-105mm
  • Recycle time: about 5 s (Ni-mh battery)
  • Flash power range: with a span of 7 apertures, the flash power can be as low as 1/128
  • Triggering mode: hotshoe, slave. The speedlite can fire synchronously on the first or the second flash from the camera.
  • Battery: 4 AA batteries. Rechargeable Ni-MH is recommended

They don't have it on eBay but I just found out you can get it as the "Brilliant DG-40" from Brilliant Photo Group Ltd. (Singapore) by contacting them direct:
Thank you for your inquiry.
You can buy from us directly.

DG-40
Price: USD55/unit

payment: paypal (brilliantsg@yahoo.com)

post cost: USD18

shipping date: 7-10days.

any query, pls feel free let us know.

US$73 puts it halfway between the Yongnuo YN-460II and YN-467. The manual zoom and 1/128 power look to be the main advantages over the YN series.

Very interesting, it will be nice to see how they actually preform out in the field however :)
