New Starter to Photography

Hi, I'm Liam from the Derbyshire,

I'm completely new to the game

Just bought myself a Canon 60D it came with an 18-135mm Canon lens, and I bought a few filters and a camera bag.

Ideally I love Automotive Photography, but at the same time landscapes and architectural photography also interest me.

However I'm a keen downhill rider and will be using my camera mainly for that!


Any tips or anything you want to share, it would be much appreciated.

Im going to have a full weekend on just getting used to my camera next weekend. Just taking lots of photos on lots of settings. I;ve watched lots of YouTube videos but thats nothing to first hand experience!

I suggest not to shoot with auto mode all the time. Try AP, TV & M mode

I've had a play tonight, I'm getting used to P and M modes the TV and AP I'll use when i find a water fall : )

If it is raining as much in Derbyshire as it is here in Bolton, you'll have no trouble finding a waterfall ;-)

Cool. Normally for a starter you would want to try controlling TV for different effects when taking flowing water ;-)
