Was about to hit buy now on a LG G4 when an invite for the OnePlus X dropped through my inbox......

Debating on which to go for. At the moment I have the iphone 5c but am not willing to pay the money for a later version.

I basically use the phone for the odd phone call, some texting but mainly email and web browsing.
Most of the apps I have are available on android but I do use a mac as my home computer.

Is the LG G4 worth the extra money, it will cost me about £100 extra.
I have a LG TV and Home Theatre System, is there any synergy between these and the phone.
is the OnePlus a good buy. I know no one will have the x but it is a OnePlus 1 with extras I believe.

Any info, knowledge appreciated.

Thanks

No direct experience of the X, but I've been more than happy with my One.

Oneplus get a bit of stick for not releasing OS updates as fast as the big guys but people forget how small they are. You can always find other means if you're really bothered to get updates rather than the official ones.

Why not take another iphone 5? Iphone 6 too big in my opinion but there deals on the 5 and its still a decent piece of kit

Its still £420 for the 32Gb as opposed to £299 for the LG G4 and £199 for the OnePlus X

Not worried about that, cheers

The OnePlus X can take memory cards, that's a big plus.

/oops, so can the G4

Price of iPhones is ridiculous. I'm still on a 4S but cant use the earphone socket because a bit of grit or summat got stuck down it. Going for a new 5, they want £40 a month plus even for a low spec 5S. I'll stick with SIM only for £10 and forego the music thanks.

It all depends on how much you use the Apple infrastructure and its ability to sync. I changed from and HTC One to an Iphone 6 as the HTC just didn't sync properly with my Mac. It was a shame as the HTC one was a great phone

Agree, and really why should they cost so much more than iPads?

Not overly but it does make things easy. Is it worth the extra hundreds of pounds though, not so convinced with how much I use the sync ability.

I have ordered the OnePlus X.

I was thinking more that a <£100 phone would do what you want, but then I'm no phone expert!

The main reason for change was I need more space for photos and music, from what I can see most sub £100 phones are very limited in space.

Good choice on the One X. I got my invite last night and have 72 hours but still undecided on what to get.

So much choice! Others on the list are LG G4, Nexus 6P, Sony Z5, One Plus 2.

Just want something with decent battery and camera and a substantial upgrade form the Nexus 5.

Cheers. The LG G4 was so tempting, the leather finish and good (for phone) camera along with 4K video was so tempting.

In the end I decided I would not use these features enough to warrant the extras and I was hesitant about the size

the 5c is a good size and do not want to go much bigger. The X is somewhere between the 5c and G4.

Hopefully can get used to the different OS.
