Due to retiring shortly I decided to treat myself to a new PC, I use LR, Topaz and I am trying to learn PS !

Boy am I pleased with the results, it is so much quicker, particularly Topaz Denoise .... and its so quiet !

Info for the Techies..

Intel i7 14700F on ASUS B760M-A Mobo with Liquid Cooling in Be Quiet PureBase 600 Case
64Gb Memory
2Tb M.2 SSD 'fast'
4Tb SATA for storage
ASUS Nvidia GeForce 4060 RTX
ASUS ProArt 24" Monitor

Excellent, thanks for letting us know. I'm wrestling with the design process at the moment, so that is useful information.

Oh, if you are interested, you could download and run the PassMark Performance Test and let me know how it scores.

Personally I would go for an intel i9, and did, 4TB SSD you would be surprised how quick they fill up, at least 8tb of SATA storage.

Very very similar to the laptop I got at the end of last year, and it is great :)

Unfortunately the i9 was well outside my budget ... I agree it would have been ideal !

I have a 8Tb NAS drive for storage and I am very hard on deleting old photo's or those that don't make the grade so I am happy that storage in the 'box' is sufficient, however the MOBO has a 2nd M.2 slot and the case can take another 3 SATA drives so plenty of options to expand when needed !

Yes apologies, I read your original post wrong, I thought you were looking to purchase a new PC, not that you had already purchased, anyway it sounds like you have cracked it, and it's sufficient for your needs. For some reason I don't like to delete old photos, so tend to accumulate some crap, I know I should be more brutal :)

Can you post or PM the cost for the main tower and components please?

I need to look for something new soon too. I have photography stuff on external hard drives and don't need a monitor etc.

I got an Asus proart 16 laptop with the extra memory and hard drive size and specs are identical to yours except the screen is smaller. But that oled screen is so so nice!! I've been using lightroom denoise and I can't see myself bothering with anything else as it gets rid of pretty much all of it!
