New OM-3 Astro body

I just saw an announcement of this new body from LCE (others will follow). It looks really interesting and I'm excited that OM Systems are taking the Ricoh-Pentax approach of creating niche tailored versions of a very good camera. Whether I can afford to indulge for £1899 body only is debatable, but if I could I would.

I took saw the OM announcement.........my thoughts as follows......

I am unsure about the full spec of the OM3 but the OM1 has Starry AF

I wonder if the OM3 Astro is a truncated special based on firmware of have they made physical changes to the sensor?

What of more ground breaking future as we run into "show season". In other words the current flagship body is the OM1 mk2 and there were rumblings of a global shutter!

It's astro modded by the looks of it.

I'd still rather go for a ff body if doing astro.
