This is the entry thread for the next instalment of the New Old Film Challenge. The theme this time is a particular favourite of mine (and I'm sure a lot of others on here): Beer and Brewing

Standard rules as always:
  • Must be taken by you
  • Must be on film
  • Must have been taken, developed and scanned prior to the start date
  • Please include details of the camera, lens, emulsion and anything else of relevance
  • One Entry per person
Closing date is a week from now, at midnight on the 29th of August.

The discussion thread is here

I'll kick things off be too slow getting the first entry in, with a shot from 2014.

What to expect on an F and C meet

Mamiya C330, can't remember what lens on some black and white film with added lager.

Strangely, I seem to have something to fit the theme this time!

What could be more quintessentially English and atmospheric than a couple of pints of bitter, in proper pint pots, at a country show on an overcast August afternoon. Canon A1, 50mm Canon lens, Kodacolor Gold 400, Poynton Show circa 1983.

Taken at the Canalside Cavalcade, Little Venice in 2013. I think it was a canal themed tombola, where the ticket gave you some canal history and if you got a particularly 'interesting' bit of canal you got an uninteresting can of bitter. I stumped up me two quid. No kinky canal parts for me tho.
I'm amazed how few shots of beer I have...

Well done Charlotte, a very evocotive shot. (y)

Well done Charlotte brilliant shot.

Yep, it really captured the concept of beer and having a good time! (y)

An excellent shot, Charlotte. Great use of mood, contrast and focus. The subject and angle are great, and to me the crowning point was the iPad in the midst of this old-fashioned context.

Well done Charlotte, a worthy winner
