New Old Film Challenge #261 'All in a Row'

If you're a contrary lady named Mary, then a photo of some pretty maids might suffice, but otherwise you can submit your pictures of anything arranged in a row. :)

As usual the following rules apply:
1) Must be taken by you
2) Must have been taken on film, notwithstanding which, digital post processing is allowed
3) Must have been taken and developed prior to the start date of this challenge

Discussion in the Discussion thread (link below) rather than this Entries thread, please.

Please include details of the camera, lens, film etc and anything else of relevance, if you can possibly the details remember that far back. Perhaps you could also explain you reasons for the choice of image, as long as it doesn't contain vacuous statements like these:

"For me, photography means endless inspiration.
I use photography the way a painter might use paint.
Without photography I couldn't make my art..."

I could go on, but please don't allow me.

Entries close some time on midnight Friday 27th June 2025, following which a voting page will be opened with a three day voting window.

Please keep all discussion and comments in the "new old film discussion thread" https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/new-old-film-challenge-discussion-thread.698995/page-24

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OLD RULE THAT 'THE PICTURE MUST BE SCANNED BEFORE THE DATE OF THE CHALLENGE' HAS BEEN RESCINDED!

Row of houses awaiting demolition, Bolton circa 1963. Halina 35X, using some copying film which I bought dead cheap in bulk. I rated it at about 10 ASA, The film was crazily contrasty. Can't remember how I developed it, by guesswork I guess. Negatives weren't looked after very well, as you can see, but it does, accidentally, give the photograph a period feel.. Scanned and converted to duotone in Photoshop, some burning in of sky required, well quite a lot actually.

As an aside, the film was orthochromatic so it could be developed by safelight although I don't recall whether I did this or not.

Any chance I could persuade you to do it this time, Keith @The Oldun ?

Sorry I've had difficulty accessing this forum, but we seem to be in again and yes I'm happy to take up the duty. I just need to have a quick look through the previous topics.
Thanks Keith.
