New monitor

I need to buy a new monitor, so any suggestions would be welcome. Very limited budget (only £120) and a serious amateur so not used in a commercial environment. There seems to be much debate about IPS v TN technology; does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I've just bought one of these I'm fairly happy with (not done s direct compariuson with the Dells I have here). They have a bigger brother here which gives you a little more screen size (same resolution though.

Definitely go IPS if you can (both those screens are IPS).

I have the LG 235V and it's a great monitor for the price.

Stand is a bit flimsy and only vertical tilt, but they are really only minor things to me.

Another one here with the LG IPS224V , cracking monitor for the price. Would agree though the stand is flimsy. Got mine from Argos so no waiting for delivery.

There is no debate about IPS vs TN. IPS are good but more expensive, while TN are cheap and awful (and should no longer exist)
