I am currently using a a pair of 24" monitors 1920x1200 (Dell U2413) which my employer allowed me to borrow, but I will need to return them soon. I am thinking of replacing them with a single 32" 4k screen, has anyone any experience with this transition. As part of the day job I do some coding, general office tasks and a lot of video editing. I will also be doing a lot of photo editing for pleasure... A single 32" screen has a smaller footprint than a pair of 24 or 27" screens I am thinking about a Benq PD3200U

I suppose it depends how much use you make of the dual monitor set up.
If you don't make a lot of use of it then get the 32,personally I find having dual monitors invaluable and would not out of choice go back to one but really its down to what you are comfortable with.

I have used a dual monitor arrangement (2x24 inch) for a number of years. The second screen was useful to display a larger image on the secondary screen whilst the main screen was in use within the Lightroom Develop Module. In Photoshop I used the second screen for all of the tool GUI’s so that the main screen had a greater footprint for editing.
Recently I bought a BenQ C270 monitor and initially I retained one of the 24 inch screens as my secondary screen and used as described above. However I eventually decided just to use the BenQ as a single screen. It seems to work for me and the workspace seems less cluttered.

Having used a three monitor display for about fourteen years, I changed to a dual monitor arrangement a couple of years ago to save space.

I can't wait to get back to a three monitor set up when I move house in a couple of months - the thought of only being able to use one monitor is like imagining what it would be like to be blind in one eye.
