Hi all.
After my last thread in here about my little accident, I have discovered that my monitor is fubar-ed, and need to hunt for a new one.

Don't have much, £120 is going to be my top limit.

What have a got to look out for?
And what is contrast ratio? (I'm guessing the higher the better??)
And response rate I guess the lower the better?

TIA

Your in the same boat as me mate, our old monitor just popped its clogs so we popped into John Lewis and came out with a HP 2010i 20" widescreen for £119.95

It has a 1000:1 contrast and 5ms response. Probably not the best you can get but being on a budget its very good!!!

I haven't purchased a monitor for a while so am not up on the current specs, but just make sure if you get a widescreen (as per above post), your graphics adaptor will support the resolution of said screen (1600 x 900 in the case above).

Hi Andy. The one we have at the studio was only £135 from Novatech and it's superb.

Seeing you are so close to Novatech pay them a visit and see what they have, sometimes they have offers not advertised.
