Hi,
I'm Terry and have just joined the forum.
I live in Kidderminster in the West Midlands but am originally from Horsham in West Sussex.
My love of photography started way back in the 80's when my father (who was always buying and selling cameras) gave me a Praktica B200 as a 15th Birthday present. When the lens mount came apart after a mere 2 weeks he took it back to the shop and pswapped it for a second hand Canon TX. Fully manual with a solid brass body. Wish I still had that camera.
In my final year at school I took photography as one of my "options" and learnt how to develop and print my own stuff.
For my 16th birthday I was bought a complete darkroom outfit for home (I effectively stole the cupboard on the landing) and many a great evening was spent processing and printing the shots made during the day with my friend Ashley (Flashp on this forum).
Many years and passed and I find myself here in the 21st century as the proud owner of a Nikon D7000 and 18-105mm kit lens.
Having been without a DSLR for the previous 3 years and only just learning about this new camera I'm on an uphill slope of re-learning about this wonderful art form.
So, that's me.
I look forward to conversing with you all in the near future.
All comments and constructive criticism welcomed on any material I post here, be they words or photos.
After all, it's how we learn.
TTFN,
Terry.
