Hi there

I'm shortly due to take the plunge with either new 30d, s/h 40D or Nikon D200. Can someone advise me of acceptable shutter clicks if buying s/h. More than likely D200.

Sorry but jumped in straight away with a techie question.

I'm Peter and come from a professional video background as Cameraman. Sound Recordist. Looking to spend more time with digital photography as a hobby and maybe earn something from it.

Got excited initially with Olympus due to size but feel wrightly or wrongly for street cred you should have Nikon or Canon badge.

Watch my local team (Reading) play at home and 90% have Canon. Looking to photograph my son at football so wish list is for good burst rate hence cameras as mentioned.

Anway hello and it looks to be a good informative forum.
