New Member from Ireland with a Canon Eos 60D!

Hi I've just joined on the recommendation of a friend - I've just bought the Canon Eos 60D and to be honest it's my first DSLR and I really know nothing about them! Any other owners, I'd love to hear from you and especially any basic tips you might have. I'll be using the basic modes for the next while before I venture into the world of aperture, ISO etc.

welcome BGray 60d is a great dslr iv been using mine for just over a year now, i started off with tv and av mode like you but these days i only ever use manual as it gives me far more control.

its worth introducing your self to this thread its all about 60d

Hi Alix, many thanks for taking the trouble to reply! I'll have a look at that thread and hopefully pick up some good hints. It's a bit daunting at this stage but looking forward to learning lots over the next while,
