Good day all.
I've been doing photography for decades but never thought about joining a forum until someone on a fish forum mentioned this one so here I am.
I started in 1973 with a Zenit E, quickly replaced by a Nikon E series then an FE2. After that one packed up (after fifteen years) I bought my last film camera, a Nikon FM2n (I still miss it). I then went digital with a Nikon D3000 but gave that to my wife and bought a Nikon D7000 which I still have. For an ever-present camera I carry a Fujifilm X20.
I used to like taking pictures of people but don't do that so much now unless in an environment where it is accepted -- sporting occasions, places where cameras are very common like tourist attractions, etc. -- because people have become so defensive "Oi, you taking pictures of me,pal? F... off". It's not really worth the hassle anymore.
I like taking pictures of animals now as they are not so sensitive and I find that people are more willing to have their photograph taken if it's with their pets or other creatures.
I'm going to have a go at the 52 challenge once I get sorted although I'll probably miss the first few weeks.
That's it for now.
