New member - complete novice

Hi, I'm completely new to photography in any serious manner - the best dedicated camera I've ever owned was a Canon Ixus around 10 years ago, so probably my iphone can take better photographs now!

Anyway I'm looking to buy a new camera and need some advice but I'll start that in the appropriate section.

welcome & good luck. Not sure you can buy a bad camera really these days, a numpty behind the lens like me is what causes poor photos not the camera. Depends on budget - set that thend spend it and dont keep looking at what you could have had when new releases come
