Placed an order on a 15" MBP with the 500gb HDD and the anti glare hi res screen. Now I just have to wait till the 29th April to get it :(

Ive currently got a copy of LR3 on my old laptop. Does anyone know if its easy enough just to uninstall it from my old laptop and reinstall it on my new one?

The copy I have is for PC and Mac.
 
Yes, very simple.

The trickiest bit is finding where all the presets/settings are stored so you can copy them over too.

Awesome thanks. Luckily I havent gotten into LR enough (yet) to have made my own presets. Waiting for my book from Amazon to teach me how to :)
 
You simply need to copy the .lrdata and lrcat files, which store all the information. Alternatively simply export everything as a catalogue ( File > Export as Catalogue) from the old machine, and use Import Catalogue when the new one arrives.

If you tick Export negative files and also tick Include available previews it will combine those within the catalogue so you images and previews are included within the catalogue.

Make sure you select the root folder so that all the images are included, when you do this
