Afternoon All
I was wondering what mid range lens people use for he 100-200mm range - and are there any bargain lenses out there which do the job - Unfortunately havent got thousands to spend.

I was specifically thinking of lenses for penalty area shots when you are working too close for the 300mm+

70-200. Get an F4 if you want cheap and don't shoot when it's dark.

non IS 70-200 2.8

For zooms on Nikon then a good used 80-200 f2.8 AFD - it will af very quickly on your D3, if you are after a prime then the nikon 180 f2.8 AFD is nice too.
