Evening I've just got bk from Rome and have had my 18-55 now for 2years am looking to invest in a new lens my photography is basically just when I go travelling and site seeing so want a fast walkabout lens any help or reccomendations would be great , also if you went to Rome what 2 lenses would you take with you
 
the nikon 35mm f/1.8G DX is very good
 
I'd take a sigma 10-20mm or similar and if on a budget a 16-85mm vr
 
For travel I use Sigma 18-200mm, bought as the Nikon version was substantially more expensive, have to admit its a compromise lens, but for my needs it covers most of the bases.
