I am looking for a new lens, preferably aperture greater than F2.
I am thinking about Canon 50mm f1.4....
My budget is around 250 pounds.
I am ok with manual lens..........(maybe Carl Zeiss?)
Any suggestion?
You ain't going to get a Zeiss lens for £250 but if you have a craving for something like it then take a look at the Voigtlander 40mm and 58mm, they are arounnd that price and utterly brillant,

Yes, buy an M42 adaptor and get a Takumar 1.4 for around £50. You will have manual focus only, but one of the best lenses out there.
