Yes
I "need" a new lens, but cant make up my mind which to go for.
I have a 17.5-45mm f3.5-5.6 & 40-150mm f3.5-4.5
Really tempted for the 18-50

Lenses considered:
Sigma Lens 24mm f1.8 EX DG Aspherical Macro
Sigma Lens 30 f1.4 EX DC HSM
Sigma Lens 18-50 f2.8 EX DC Macro
Sigma Lens 18-50mm f2.8 EX DC

Buying Sigma as they a cheaper but concerned about the quality i may get from them.

What do you reakon?

What about the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 SP XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF]?

Reviews i have seen are very good.

Nothing wrong with Sigma either but do some research and look at reviews they will give a good idea of build quality and optics on that lens range.

I've found that Sigma's EX classification are just short of the Canon L's in terms of build and IQ. Certainly well worth the investment and roughly 15 - 20% less than the Canon equivalent.

We all hear horror stories of Sigma QC but i've never had a bad copy.

Thanks for the info guys but could you please have a read of my sig?

We are talking 4/3's here.

I think you are going to end up with the Sigma 18-50mm then.

Do you know if the Panasonic 14-50 f2.8-3.5 readily available in the UK? If so, what price is being asked?

No idea and you can bet its gonna be more expensive than the zuiko lenses.
