Please someone encourage me that I made the right choice by posting some beautiful images taken with a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 MkII

The only reason I haven't yet bought a Sigma lens is the apparent issues with quality control and posts where people have to send it back and exchange for another one before it is good.

Re your lens, I have seen comments that the mk1 version is sharper but as I own neither I don't know

I'm sure some happy people will be along soon with pics to post.

Have a read of this thread. It does show the shortcomings of this lens as far as QC. But saying all that i am still in the market for one. Glutton for punishment, eh.

Shot taken the other day using the Siggy 70-200mm.

That was on manual focus mind, as mine is suffering the dreaded backfocus problem that sems to plague some fo the Siggy lenses. It's at Sigma as I write. Despite this, I think I've made the right choice of lens. It's a quality optic, weighs a ton (feels like a PROPER lens) and just looks the part too
