Hi everybody

I was looking to upgrade my camera as much as I love my little Canon 400D I wanted more from my photos. I know that really it's best to get good glass before you start spending money on a new body so to start with I have just bought a Canon 15-85mm.

I was just wonderfing if anybody else has this lens and what they think of it. The reviews I have read have been great. I am saving up now for a Canon 7D ;-)

Let us know what you think of the lens when you start using it.

Hi Karen,
Good choice, i had this lens with my first 7D and loved it.
It is a great walk about lens and far sharper than i expected.
Slight distortion at the wide end and obviously not a fast lens.
The IS works well and for the cash i dont think you can buy better and it seems to complement the 7D really well.
Enjoy it
Liam.

I have one on my 7d, great lens, sharp, good colours, good contrast.

Heavy compared to a kit lens and not "fast"

I love mine...

Also have one on my 7D - really pleased with the lens. Wanted a near equivalent to the 24-105 that works well/same range on a crop - which it does !

You will need to purchase the lens hood separately though. Originally purchased a (very cheap) hood from China (Ebay) which was useless (too big) so ended up buying the Canon version...
